Customer Attributes

Attributes are custom key-value pairs that can be assigned to customers. They provide a flexible way to store additional metadata, categorize customers, and enable advanced filtering.

Overview

Each attribute consists of a Name (the key) and a Value. Example attributes might include: - Strategic Account: Yes - Industry Segment: Aerospace - Preferred Language: Spanish

Managing Attributes

Attributes can be managed directly on the Customer Detail page.

Adding an Attribute

  1. Navigate to the Attributes section on the Customer Detail page.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the Name and Value.
  4. Click Add to save.

Editing and Deleting

  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to an attribute to change its value.
  • Click the Delete (trash) icon to remove an attribute from the customer.

Bulk Import

Attributes can be imported in bulk via CSV. This is useful for initializing data from external systems or performing mass updates.

  1. Navigate to Customers.
  2. Select Import Attributes (available to authorized users).
  3. Upload your CSV file following the required format (Customer Number, Attribute Name, Attribute Value).

Filtering by Attributes

Attributes are integrated into the Slicer functionality on the Customers List page. You can filter your customer list to show only those matching specific attribute names or values, allowing for targeted sales campaigns or reporting.
