People & Contacts
The People section allows you to manage the individual contacts associated with a customer. These contacts can be assigned to Sales Quotes and Sales Orders to ensure communication reaches the right individuals.
Overview
A customer can have multiple people associated with them. Each record typically includes: - First and Last Name - Title/Position - Email Address - Mobile Phone Number
Managing Contacts
Contacts are managed on the Customer Detail page under the People section.
Adding a Person
- Click the Add button in the People section.
- Fill in the contact details (Name, Title, Email, Mobile).
- Click Add to save the record.
Editing and Deleting
- Use the Edit and Delete icons next to each person's entry to update their information or remove them.
Batch Updates
One of the powerful features of Velosity is the ability to batch-update contacts across existing sales documents.
Update Sales Quotes/Orders
If you update the contacts for a customer, you can quickly push these changes to their active quotes or orders. 1. In the People section, click the dropdown menu (often labelled with "Update"). 2. Select Sales Quotes or Sales Orders. 3. This will synchronize the current list of people to all relevant documents for that customer, ensuring that the latest contact information is used for notifications and document generation.
Global People List
You can view a consolidated list of all contacts across all customers by navigating to /Customers/People. This view is useful for searching for a specific individual when you are unsure which customer they are associated with.
